Lyrics

I. Setting Sails Tonight we’re setting sails to find abandoned shores In the east, the south, the west and in the north Are you with me? I don’t wanna go alone Let’s say goodbye to the places we call home The time has come to leave again so what’s it gonna be Staying put and sitting still or finally breaking free And we sing Oh oh oh hey Don’t matter where we’re going When the winds are blowing Oh oh oh hey The tide is getting low Come on, come on, let’s go hey Our next adventure might be waiting down the road Can you hear the call? Are you ready to go? Life ain’t happening on your sofa drinking beer Just step outside and life will take you anywhere Let’s go to the harbour where we’ll be setting sails The wind will come and carry us away We’ll keep on sailing on the open sea On and on to Sandwood Bay From there we’ll sail to Ireland Then heading south to France and Spain Morocco, Greece and Italy Wherever we go, they’ll hear us sing

VIII. Waterfalls of Norway Wherever you look Wherever you walk No cities, no roads No whisper, no talk No cars no trains Not even a bike No single distraction From the beauty in sight Walking in silence Where few people went Until you get tired And long for a tent And I still hear them The waterfalls In the middle of Norway Where solitude calls And I still see them Rivers so clear In the middle of Norway Oh how I wish I was there The cold of the night fades away As the morning light welcomes the day I’ll be seeing rainbows And birds in the sky From the deepest fjords to the glaciers up high

II. Moments Another summer night by the riverside The sun is going down A handful of close friends Staying for day’s end You’re glad that they’re around You’ve reached the mountain top The world around has stopped At least for a while You’re lying in the gras To watch the clouds above You can’t help but smile Time is running fast When there’s a moment you want to last Breathe it in, make it count No one knows when the next will be found The next will be found A friend is back in town It’s been so long since you’ve said your goodbyes And now you meet again They just got off the train A spark in their eyes And on a trip to Rome with your loved one Two glasses of wine There is nothing more you feel like asking for Right place and right time

IX. Half of a Whole I used to call myself independent Never needed anyone I used to think the best version of myself Is the one where I’m alone But then came you bringing disorder To my mind and to my heart I got confused by so many little things Confused right from the start And now I feel like I am a half of a whole A lock without a key A song without soul A guitar without strings A book with no words at all You make me feel like I am A half of a whole Days and months and years went by And we’re still walking side by side If I were granted one wish then it would be An endless road for you and me The weight of life has gotten lighter Carried by four hands, not two I still remember getting lost in late November Oh how lucky I was to find you

III. Campfire I don’t know about you But I could use a little time out Just me and you We’ll go to the countryside Let’s leave our town behind Nature is waiting for us A tent for the night Finding some quiet at last And when the sun goes down And the birds fly home We’ll light a fire We’ll watch the stars at night By the riverside Till we get tired Throw another log onto the fire Let the flames climb a little higher Till the cold and the dark go away Let’s say goodbye to another day In the wild When the night has gone Another horizon calls So we’re moving on Trying our best to get lost

X. What If I had dreamed of a new life Far away from where I am I’m still dreaming now and then But nothing seems to be changing I’m not getting anywhere I’m cursing life for being so unfair But then I see all those lost souls Struggling around me And I ask myself who am I to talk But I can’t shake this one question This one thought What if, what if, what if I had known all that I now know 15, 16 years ago What if, what if, what if I had known where I am today Would I have picked a different way So we don’t know what tomorrow Keeps at hand for everyone We go to sleep, the future’s gone And today’s today is tomorrow’s yesterday And yesterday’s the day before So look ahead, there’s so much more to see But when I think about the here and now About the why and how Then I find myself stuck with this one thought This one question I cannot get rid of But isn’t it the unknown That leads us through the days The fact we get to chose One of a thousand different ways And no one’s here to tell us How it’s gonna end So let’s keep on living in the moment Soon enough we’ll ask ourselves again

IV. Golden Waves Do you remember when we were young Staying up all night to watch the morning sun Slowly welcoming the day Golden waves in the sea travelling far away And I recall you took my hand And for a moment time slowed down And now we’re here, back again Watching the stars move on So let’s dance through the night Till we see the morning light Just for once let’s forget about tomorrow Forget about our sorrows mmh Do you remember the candlelight Slowly burning down, giving in to the night But the moon high above our heads Twinkling down on us to guide our dancing steps

XI. Stuck in the In-Between I’ve read a lot of songs and poems From people to their younger selves Telling them it’ll be alright Telling them they’re doing great That everything will work out well As long as they just keep on dreaming If it were me what should I tell you I’m still stuck in the in-between I’ve travelled far and wide this year Took every chance to get away from here I call myself a travelling soul Happiest far away from home As long as I am moving on I think I know where I belong But every new place that I’ve seen Has told me I’m still stuck in the in-between Am I really heading out Or am I running away To hide from my fears, every broken dream Always stuck in the in-between I’m spending way too many hours Looking at my stupid phone Watching people getting famous Wondering what I’m doing wrong And every second post I see Tells me that they know the way To get me higher than I’ve ever been Well I’m still stuck in the in-between And when I feel like it’s getting too much And all I long for is that whisky touch When I’m close to finally give up It’s either the bottle or time to pack My things and I’ll be off again Playing gigs or pitching tents Till someone asks me how I am Well I don’t know I’m stuck in the in-between

V. Stories When you feel like going down Getting closer to the end And there’s no one left around When you need a helping hand Your thoughts as dark as clouded nights You can’t find an open door You’re looking for a guiding light Don’t know what you’re living for Let me help you to get through You’re not alone in this, you know Everybody’s writing stories, writing stories on their own But everybody needs somebody, cause we’re not meant to write alone Yeah, we’re all in this together on sunny days, in stormy weather Everybody’s writing stories, writing stories to be told We are living in a world Turning faster everyday It’s getting harder to keep up And easier to lose your way You drown your sorrows late at night Hope is nowhere to be found You’re going down a stony road Let me help you turn around When you feel like going down Getting closer to the end And there’s no one left around I’ll offer you my helping hand Writing stories till we’re old

XII. Conival She smiles to fight her tears She laughs to hide her fears In the back of her head There’s a voice getting louder each night Telling her she’s already lost What she set out to find And day by day As her hopes and dreams fly away And she’s ready to bury her plans In the ground she’s losing When she looks to the stars To forget all her scars she cries Filled with sorrow and grief She is trying to believe her own lies She is waiting for someone Praying for someone to guide Her out of her mind She walks through rain and fog Exhausted as hell But unable to stop Her bag is too heavy But she isn’t ready to fold Her boots are soaked Her hands shaking in the cold Now she begs for the devil to take her soul To make a deal to get her out of the cold But the devil ain’t listening to those Still willing to fight So she keeps on walking Both day and night

VI. Where Did Our Punk Rock Days Go Lately I’ve been kinda busy Doing all the things you need to do When you grow up you start to realise There’s always stuff to think about Can’t seem to get my head around I’ve got a list that tells me What I have to do the next two weeks And when I’m done with that I know There will be something else I need to think about Can’t seem to get my head around And when I look outside Everyone else is in a hurry Climbing ladders, buying houses Having children, getting married And I think to myself: Oh no Where did our Punk Rock days go We started a new chapter of our lives Where we can talk about the days when we were young Like they took place a million years ago Oh can’t you see We’re getting old indeed So tell me when did we decide That having fun needs to be planned A long time in advance so everybody’s got the chance To be a part of it Oh can’t you see the irony And after all that we’ve been through year by year You should know if you need me I’ll be there For every night in the pub, every hour on the road Every time we got wasted with nothing else to do Every dream that we lost, every evening we cried Every time I fell down and you picked me up Every love that’s been lost somewhere along the way I will never forget who we used to be

XIII. Coming Back Home My eyes are getting tired As I’m sitting behind the wheel Another drive through the night I’m not sure how I’m supposed to feel Long hours make me feel lonely Though I’m happy to be alone One more week left to go Till I come back to you I am ready to come back home again Ready to close my eyes Leave the world outside Just for a while No more hellos, no more goodbyes And when I lay my head down In a city without a name I’m dreaming about my home town And seeing you again And when the horizon greets me as a friend I know that my journey is coming to an end When the roads look familiar The rivers and the hills The forests and the fields No more hellos, this is goodbye

VII. Road Trip with You Well I will always wait Till you’re the one to come my way And you are never late You’re just in time to make my day On the road again Like we’ve always dreamed Feeling like stars on a movie screen I hope you've got time ‘cause I could do this all day long I believe that you, you believe that I We believe that the sun above is guiding us To the fields of green To the never seen Wonders of the world in the in-between Off we go again into the unknown The road leads the way we’re moving on With hearts as free As clouds in the sky As waves in the sea And when the sunlight fades away And our day comes to an end Far from home is where we stay Falling asleep in stranger’s land We’ll get some rest till morning calls Grab some coffee and we’ll be gone Wherever the day is taking us We’ll follow the road, follow the sun
